Kodansha is a ‘Kodansha Bilingual Comics’ label and has published a bilingual(English and Japanese) version. From October 2000 to July 2001, 8 volumes were produced in a bilingual format. The series has been removed from sale after being licensed by Tokyopop.
The English version was licensed for use in English versions in North America and Britain by Tokyopop, which published 14 volumes between May 21, 2002 and September 16, 2003. The English release uses the style of reading from right to left in Japan, and the art work remains unchanged from the original.
In August 2009, it was revealed by Kodansha that Tokyopop’s license expired and will not be renewed. Kodansha Comics has licensed the series with new translations. The ‘Omnibus edition’ was released in five volumes from October 2011 to March 2013.
Serial information
The volume is larger than that of Japan. The cover is not covered, but the page facing outside is colored. The content is in English, but it is left-hand-reading like in Japan. Therefore, when you open the back cover, a note is written about how to read it. The cover is not trimming like Japan, but using the original version as it is. The book’s plot is written on the back of the cover. But there is no author message comment. The print is thick, and the fine-tone part is dented. The name of the character is Romanization. The imitative characters such as “ドガゴーン” remain in Japanese. The price is US$9.99 and more than three times that of Japan.
